Seashells & Shimmer: AVARIA Takes on the Maldives (and Wins!)
Soooo this past summer, we embarked on a journey to the breathtaking Maldives, a tropical haven known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and luxurious resorts. But a vacation isn't exactly why we're here... Well, I guess partly, but it was mainly a mission to put our AVARIA jewelry to the ultimate test!
We wanted to see firsthand how our waterproof pieces would hold up against the elements, from the salty ocean water to everyday activities like washing our hands with soap. After all, what better way to prove the durability of our jewelry than by taking it on a real-life adventure?
Why the Wait?
Its not surprising as you might be wondering why we're just now sharing this adventure with you. Well, we wanted to be absolutely sure our jewelry could withstand the test of time (and the Maldivian sea!). Tarnishing and fading don't happen overnight, so we patiently waited to see if our pieces would lose their luster after prolonged exposure to the elements. Spoiler alert: they didn't!
Saltwater Challenge
The Maldives is renowned for its stunning turquoise waters, and we couldn't resist the opportunity to take a dip (or several!). We wore our AVARIA necklaces, bracelets, and rings while swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing on the beach. And guess what? They emerged from the salty depths as radiant as ever! No tarnishing, no fading, no dullness – just the same beautiful shine we've come to expect from our PVD coated pieces.
The Everyday Test
Of course, a trip to paradise isn't all about swimming and sunbathing. We also wanted to see how our jewelry fared during everyday activities. We wore our pieces while washing our hands with soap, applying sunscreen, and even enjoying a refreshing coconut (it's essential for hydration, you know!). And just like with the saltwater challenge, our AVARIA jewelry passed with flying colors. The pieces remained as vibrant and beautiful as the day we arrived.
Conclusion: Looks like we can't prove ourselves wrong. I really does NOT fade. 🤣
Our trip to the Maldives proved that AVARIA jewelry is. well, completely fadeless. While we're 100% solid with our claim that it doesn't, well, let's just say curiosity got the better of us by wanting to prove ourselves wrong on that front.
And yup, we've pretty much failed miserably while we're at it. But imagine feeling extremely ecstatic on failure. An absolutely unfamiliar feeling that I genuinely welcome it with open arms. I guess this is what most people call the "Good" kind of problems, yes?
